I love textile collages. The technique is allowing me to use many different fabrics and fibres.
In my artworks, I build up layers on the felt base using the needle felting technique. I used different materials, recycled hand painted silk (from my previous work), muslin pieces, silk and wool fibre and recycled merino felt. I connect the parts with needle felting and hand or machine embroidery.
I like to explore how different techniques can produce different texture.
Nature, plants and colours are my inspiration. Whenever I complete the artwork, there is an element of surprise.
